Our Sustainability Approach

Doing the Right Thing for Your Home and the Planet

At the heart of everything we do is a simple commitment: to make homes more efficient while minimising our impact on the environment. As a carbon neutral company, we take sustainability seriously. From the products we install to how we operate every day.

Proud Member of SBEN

Improving Thermal Efficiency

Helping customers improve the energy performance of their homes is a key priority. Our windows and doors are designed to optimise insulation, reduce heat loss, and lower energy bills. We work with trusted manufacturers to ensure the products we install meet or exceed required values for thermal and solar performance.
Whether you’re replacing a single door or updating all your windows, our goal is to make your home warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and more sustainable all year round.

Recycling and Responsible Waste Management

From old windows to door frames, we ensure all waste materials are recycled wherever possible. Glass, uPVC, aluminium, and timber are all sorted and sent to specialist recycling facilities. By choosing us, you’re supporting a business that actively reduces landfill waste and promotes responsible resource use.

Energy Efficient and Environmentally Focused

We are proud members of SBEN (Staffordshire Business & Environment Network) and part of the Staffordshire County Council Supply Chain for environmentally responsible companies. These partnerships reflect our commitment to operating with care and responsibility at every level.
From our supply choices to our transportation planning, we always consider our carbon footprint and look for ways to reduce it.

Enhancing Comfort with Daylight and Noise Control

Sustainability doesn’t end with energy performance. Our installations are designed to maximise natural daylight, reducing the need for artificial lighting. They also offer excellent noise reduction, helping create quieter, more comfortable indoor spaces with less reliance on powered solutions.

Sourcing from Sustainable and Ethical Suppliers

We carefully select suppliers who share our environmental and ethical values. This means choosing manufacturers who prioritise sustainable practices, such as using FSC-certified timber, low-impact production methods, and minimal packaging. By working with partners who are transparent about their environmental credentials, we ensure that every product we install supports wider goals around responsible sourcing and sustainability.

Longevity and Low Maintenance Design

Sustainable living is about making choices that last. Our doors and windows are engineered for durability, requiring minimal maintenance over time. This reduces the need for frequent replacements and the environmental impact that comes with short product lifecycles. With weather-resistant finishes, robust materials, and long-term warranties, you can trust that your investment is built to last—benefiting both your home and the planet.

Our Pledge

We believe small steps lead to big change. Whether it’s recycling offcuts or offering highly efficient glazing, we continuously look for ways to reduce our environmental impact while helping you do the same.
Choosing us means choosing a company that’s committed to building a more sustainable future, one home at a time.

FAQs About Sustainability

Need help? Here are answers to some of the most common questions about our products, services, and process.

Our products are carefully selected to offer excellent thermal performance. This includes:

  • Low U-values to reduce heat loss
  • Double or triple glazing with Argon-filled cavities
  • Warm edge spacer bars to prevent thermal bridging
  • Insulated, multi-chambered frames that minimise energy waste

All our windows and doors are fitted by professionals to avoid air leaks and ensure optimal insulation.

U-value measures how much heat is lost through a material. The lower the U-value, the better the insulation. For example:

  • A standard double-glazed window may have a U-value around 1.2 W/m²K
  • Triple glazing can achieve as low as 0.8 W/m²K, making it ideal for high-efficiency homes

We always advise on the best option depending on your property and budget.

It depends on your home’s location, orientation, and insulation. Triple glazing offers better insulation and meets future Building Regulations, but double glazing is still highly efficient and cost-effective for most homes. We often recommend a mix, especially for south-facing rooms to optimise solar gain while keeping costs balanced.

Our glazed units offer excellent acoustic insulation, thanks to:

  • Multiple panes of glass with varying thickness
  • Gas-filled cavities that dampen sound
  • Precision installation that seals out draughts and noise leaks

These features help reduce outside noise, creating a quieter and more comfortable living space.

Yes! We source products that support a lower carbon footprint, including:

  • Thermally efficient glazing that reduces heating demand
  • Recyclable materials used in frames and packaging
  • Sustainable supply chains aligned with industry standards

Plus, we recycle as much material as possible during removal and fitting.

Yes. Many of the systems we supply are designed to be low maintenance, using materials like uPVC and powder-coated aluminium which resist rot, warping, and fading. Most products simply need an occasional wipe with soapy water to stay looking new.
